If you’re hungry for authentic Southern, Southwestern, and Mexican fare, then you may want to join the line outside Taqueria del Sol. At first glance, you realize this isn’t your usual dining establishment. Lines often snake outside the door, but thankfully tables turn over very quickly. The popular restaurant wows with savory from-scratch dishes served quickly within a casual setting.
Menu options include the Brisket, a flour tortilla with shredded beef topped with pico de gallo, and the Memphis, a juicy, smoked and chopped pork soft taco paired with spicy jalapeño coleslaw and tequila BBQ sauce. The restaurant also serves three kinds of enchiladas, several sides, and soups, along with delicious starter options: queso, guacamole, and a salsa trio.
If you live outside Georgia, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, you’ll have quite the commute; Taqueria del Sol franchises can only be found in these three states so far. However, new franchises will soon open in Miami and Boca Raton, Florida, as well as Charlotte, North Carolina. No matter where you live, a visit to Taqueria del Sol is well worth the trip.
